"Imaginative vision is the power that unifies all the constituents of the matter of a work of art, making a whole out of them in all their variety."

John Dewey, "Art as Experience"

David Wilde creates thoughtful site responsive windows and screens in a variety of glasses and glass treatments that alter incident light. Whether destined for the personal residence, the work environment, corporate or otherwise, or for a house of worship, windows designed by Wilde speak to the viewer on many spiritual and intellectual levels, achieving the unification of elements that Dewey describes.

Quality materials, glass from France and Germany that are mouthblown, are used exclusively. Glass painting, acid etching and glass fusing are commonly used techniques. Works in plate glass incorporate sand carving, screen fabrication, and laminating.

David Wilde specializes in expert craftsmanship and professional attention to details, prior to, during and after installation. His experience includes working with architects and interior designers to achieve collaborative solutions in glass for their clients in personal and/or public spaces.
