Biography

College of Applied Arts, Riga, Latvia 1975-1979. Specialized in stained glass, graphics, sculpture.
Bachelor of Arts degree - Latvia Academy of Art, Riga, Latvia 979-1984 - Specialized in stained glass, and glass design.
Teacher of Stained Glass and Art in Schools, Community Centers and privately since 1984 in Latvia and Canada.
Exhibiting my work since 1981, featured stained glass in galleries since 1985.
Commissioned work since 1984 in Riga, Moscow, Prague and Toronto.
Moved to Canada (The Beaches, Toronto, ON), in 1990.
Member of Ontario Arts Council.
Member of Scarborough Arts Council.
Member of Artists in Stained Glass Association.

Achievements in Stained Glass

Work featured on City TV and numerous newspapers.

Commissioned by the city of Prague, Czechoslovakia, to create 20 stained glass windows.

Repaired valuable stained glass windows in beautiful Toronto Victorian homes.

Produced portraits, still life and abstract paintings in oil.

Exhibited blown glass objects in a number of international galleries and museums.

Sold a group of 5 blown glass award winning pieces to the Ministry of Culture which are featured as part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Applied Arts of Latvia.

Created and sold a variety of stained glass objects in galleries, businesses and homes in Toronto.
